Overview

Coorg (also known as Kodagu) is a picturesque hill station located in the southwestern part of Karnataka, Famous for its lush green landscapes, coffee plantations, and mist-covered hills, The region is rich in culture and history, inhabited mainly by the Kodava community, known for their distinct traditions and warrior heritage. Talacauvery, situated in the Brahmagiri Hills of Coorg district, holds great religious significance as it is considered the source of the river Cauvery, one of South India’s most important rivers. The place is a popular pilgrimage site, especially during the festival of Tula Sankramana, when devotees gather to take a holy dip in the sacred spring. Talacauvery offers stunning views of the surrounding hills and valleys and is marked by a small temple dedicated to Goddess Cauvery.

Bylakuppe is a Tibetan settlement located near Coorg in Karnataka. It is one of the largest Tibetan refugee camps in India and is renowned for its beautiful Buddhist monasteries, including the Namdroling Monastery (Golden Temple), Bylakuppe is a vibrant cultural hub where Tibetan traditions, crafts, and cuisine thrive. Visitors can experience serene monastic life, learn about Tibetan Buddhism, and shop for handicrafts.

Itinerary

Day 1

Upon arriving in Mysuru, check in to your hotel and take some time to freshen up. Begin your sightseeing with a visit to the magnificent Mysuru Palace, exploring its stunning architecture and rich history. Afterward, enjoy a leisurely lunch and take some rest at the hotel. In the evening, head to the enchanting Brindavan Gardens, known for its beautiful landscaping and musical fountains. Witness the mesmerizing laser show that adds a magical touch to the gardens. Day 2

In the morning, after breakfast, check out from your hotel and head to Chamundi Betta to enjoy the scenic views and the famous temple.
